All you lose is water weight, which comes right back when you rehydrate your body. You must also consider the fat burning cream or location usually associated with it.
Some have reported a “burning sensation” underneath the plastic wrap while wearing it. They think that is working. But studies have shown that sometimes it could be eating away at your skin depending on your skin type and medical history.

Weakness, dizziness, confusion, coma and even death can result because of excessive fluid loss. If you are having a body wrap at a spa, your attendant may not be qualified to deal with any of these reactions.
