Homelessness is running rampant all across the country. So much so, the city of Los Angeles has declared a State of Emergency for the homeless. And poor health is one of the top three causes of homelessness.
Something must be done and Khloe was the one to step up to the plate.
At just eight years old, Khloe started her own initiative called Khloe Kares. With the help of her grandma, she sews reusable bags which she then fills with essential supplies, then gives these bags and their contents to the homeless women in her community.

Khloe explained to The Real talk show that her movement started when she kept seeing homeless people in her area of South California.
She’d ask her mom how these women has ended up living on the streets. After receiving the same answers, the situation left her feeling pretty sad.
That was all Khloe needed to hear to spring into action.
“It’s time to make a difference, I’m eight and I’m starting now,” exclaims Khloe.
She asked the homeless women of her community what they needed, then set to work on providing essential supplies such as shampoo, soap, toothbrushes, and period products in bags she made herself with a sewing machine.
Now, every time she sees a woman in need, she’s able to go right ahead and give her one of her prepared bags, with a friendly smile and an explanation of what’s inside.
Khloe makes sure that the bag is made to last, too, so that the women have something they’ll hopefully be able to use forever.
According to her website, Khloe says, “No dream is too small or too big! I want to inspire other kids to be great and to make your mark on this earth. I want to challenge other kids to do something big.”
She hopes that through Khloe Kares, she’ll not only help the individual homeless women who receive the bags, but also…
