Cut back on fatty foods and give your immune system a boost with foods like fruits and vegetables, experts say. Federal guidelines recommend five to nine servings of fruit and veggies each day for a healthy dose of symptom-beating antioxidants.

3. Hands off.

Believe it or not, the most common places for germs to enter your body are the eyes and nose. So, wash your hands and keep them to yourself.
