Spiced Cider Punch
This is the perfect punch to heat up on the stove on a cold day. Feeling a little spicy? Add your favorite rum for an adult twist on a classic. Added bonus? It's steeped in spices like cinnamon and cloves, which are nutrient-dense sources of fiber and vitamins.
Ingredients:
1 c. unsweetened apple juice
1 c. water
1/2 c. orange juice concentrate
1/2 c. lemonade concentrate
1 tsp. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
2 whole cloves
2 cinnamon sticks
Directions:
Combine the first seven ingredients together in a slow cooker.
Tie cloves and cinnamon sticks in a cheesecloth bag and place in the slow cooker.
Cover and cook on low heat for 3-4 hours or until fully heated.
Remove the spice bag. Garnish with additional cinnamon sticks and add rum if desired.

We gave this holiday favorite a nutritious makeover—without sacrificing its signature velvety texture—by incorporating skim milk and stevia.
Ingredients:
1 egg yolk, beaten
1/4 c. skim milk
1 tsp. Stevia
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Ground nutmeg to taste
1/8 c. light whipping cream
Spiced rum
Directions
Beat the egg yolk, skim milk and stevia in a bowl. Pour into a pot and cook over medium heat.
Stir in vanilla and ground nutmeg (plus spiced rum if desired).
Right before serving, beat light whipping cream into the mixture until soft peaks form. Sprinkle with ground nutmeg.
Makes one serving.
Spiked Hot Cocoa
Ingredients
2 cups unsweetened almond milk
5 teaspoons of high-quality cocoa powder
1/8t maple syrup (or to taste)
1 oz. amaretto
Directions
Place all ingredients in a small saucepan and turn the heat to medium/high. Using a whisk or spoon, continuously whisk the cocoa powder into the almond milk until fully combined.
Bring milk to a simmer and take off heat. Serve with nonfat cool whip, a sprinkle of cinnamon
