Under The Hood: Vin Diesel’s High Performance Workout

Mark Sinclair Vincent, better known as Vin Diesel, has become one of the “go-to” action movie heroes in Hollywood. His well-built body weighing about 215 lbs and 6 feet tall frame made him an American icon to look up to. His 30+ yearcareer is attributed not only to deep voice and “go get ’em” attitude but also to his cut body he get chiseled up every time a new film comes along.

Vin got his start in acting when he was seven years old after he and his friends broke into the Theater for New York City with plans to vandalize it. A woman who worked there caught them, gave them a script and $20, and agreed to let them go if they showed up for rehearsals every day after school.

Vin Diesel’s Workout Routine

Vin Diesel’s weekly workout plan has activities scheduled for three days (Monday, Wednesday and Friday). All these begin with warm up exercises in the form of light jogs of 5-minute duration. Essentially, this gets the blood flowing.

On Mondays, he concentrates on shoulders and chest by doing 10-15 reps and 2-5 sets of shoulder presses, pushups, bench presses and flies that are inclined using dumbbells and barbells. These are equally distributed rows and raises.

On Wednesdays, the target is on the back. Several pull-ups, bent overs, dead lifts and cable rows when the grip is wide are done. Usually, these are five sets.
