In today’s fast-paced society, its rare for people to take the time to do something as simple as a bath. Long before modern showers were invented, kings and peasants alike marveled at the healing powers of a bath with added elements. Plain water may feel relaxing, but just by adding in an ingredient or two from your kitchen, your bath can double as something that can heal you from the inside out.
But before the taking a fruit bath you should take a shower to open skin pores. It’s highly recommended to take a bath no earlier than 2 hours after a meal. Usually a fruit bath takes about 30-40 minutes, with water temperature of 96.8 degrees (36°C).
After this refreshing and rejuvenating procedure, you may skip applying body cream, your body will retain fruity fragrances and you’ll notice a difference. Here are a few quick bath “recipes” to get you started.
Orange Refresh Bath
Peel off three oranges, dry and grind their peel in a coffee grinder. Add two glasses of fresh orange juice, stir thoroughly. In the end, add a few tablespoons of olive or flaxseed oil. Fill a bathtub halfway with water and add half of the bubble bath. Get in the bathtub and continue to fill with water. Pour the mixture into a warm bath. Turn off the lights, light the candles and listen to some relaxing music. Bathe and rinse the skin with warm water after bathing.
This relaxation method has been known since ancient times. The Chinese say that an orange fruit bath is good for cleaning your energy. It’s true that you’ll really feel great and well rested after taking this bath.
Slimming Fruit Bath
Add five tablespoons of baking soda and any fruit paste to a warm bath. If you take this bath daily for a week your lave handles will be less noticeable or disappear altogether! After seven days of regular procedure take a two-day break and repeat the one-week course. Baking soda in a combination with fruit paste helps to achieve an excellent slimming effect. The main thing is to take this bath every day and you won’t be disappointed with the results.
Lemon Boost Bath
Whether you prefer to use fresh lemons (we suggest about 5-6 of them, squeezed) or lemon juice (about 1/2-3/4 cups), the bright fruit will leave your skin glowing. Since lemons refresh, help to shrink pores and revive your skin, we love to add them into our bath for their healing and mood-boosting benefits.
While these may not be fruits, here are some other things you can add to your bath to start to see results:
