Because multiple myeloma has double the incidence in African Americans compared to all other ethnic groups, it is especially important to know how we should treat African Americans with this disease. We can’t know how to treat African Americans with myeloma unless they’re involved in clinical trials.

The clinical trial engine for myeloma and research is moving at a very fast pace. Breakthroughs are happening all the time. New drugs are both in the pipeline and in clinical trials.
