All clinical trials have to be safe. They are now mandated by the FDA to be safe. And not only is there a federal mandate to make sure that clinical trials are safe, but even at the local level, and at the clinic level, there are safeguards and committees that meet to make sure every clinical trial is safe for any of its participants.
