Sickle cell disease continues to plague the black community and the life expectancy for sickle cell patients still remains low. In an effort to bring awareness to the cause, Big Tigger (radio personality and former host of BET’s Rap City and 106 & Park) joins Generation S to bring Atlanta a FREE Rock the Block experience.
Hosted by BlackDoctor.org and Novartis, we invite you to come celebrate and empower the local sickle cell community, Friday, September 13th, 2019 at 6:00 pm in Atlanta, GA at The Georgia Freight Depot.
What Is Generation S?
Rock the Block’s live event was created by the initiative, Generation S. The event was created in an effort to bring engagement within the community and to continue to grow awareness for sickle cell disease. Generation S also provides an opportunity for individuals to share their own personal stories through a national storytelling project, which is helping to rewrite the sickle cell disease narrative for generations to come.
Generation S encourages anyone touched by sickle cell disease to help inspire the sickle cell community and educate the nation by sharing their stories.
