having a larger crowd.
5. Decorations
Nothing screams Super Bowl like walking into a house with all the appropriate Super Bowl decorations to match. Placing balloons, streamers, and colored napkins is a good place to start. Try looking for decorations that feature the colors of the Rams and Bengals (ie. blue and gold or black, white and orange). You can also stay on theme and include your food and drink as part of the decorations.
6. Have a Prize at the End of the Night
A little friendly betting can make things more fun and competitive. When everyone gets to your place, you can have them write down what they think the score will be or who they think will win. When the game is over, check out all the scores and award the person with the closest score a prize of your choosing. You can even make the prize football-themed.
7. Tailgate Before the Game
If you have been to a college or pro football game, you know how important tailgating is. You may be thinking that because you’re having an at-home Super Bowl, that you may have to miss out on tailgating, but that isn’t true.
You can still pre-game and have a tailgate at home. Try inviting friends and family over from 3:00 pm till 6:00 pm for an outside tailgate where you grill up some chicken wings, hamburger sliders, etc., if the weather permits of course.
You can also incorporate games such as cornhole into the festivities. If you are hosting a virtual party through Zoom, you can opt for online games. At six, everyone can head inside to watch the game. If you have the space and equipment and the weather permits you can even watch the game outside.
8. Dress to impress
What’s a Super Bowl party without the appropriate attire? Even if your favorite team didn’t make it to the Superbowl, you can wear something football or food-themed to the party.
