Jennifer Hudson has inspired many with her weight loss journey and singing career.
It seems like it was only yesterday when we saw the powerhouse vocalist and actress Jennifer Hudson belting out notes on American Idol.
Since then, she has been through a lot publicly: from the murder of her family members to the birth of her son and even her weight loss, Hudson continues to push through. As a matter of fact, J-Hud maintains her new slimmer shape and she looks great.
“It would take Mexico to get me to play on the beach,” Hudson, 39, wrote, alongside a pic-stitch of herself wearing a chartreuse bikini. The sexy snaps feature the Oscar winner—with her toned abs and lean waist on display—lounging and soaking in a sexy two-piece.
“I’m so not that girl!” added Hudson.“But I work hard, I deserve it right! Plus, I earned it!”
And indeed she has put in work. Hudson’s astounding weight loss turned into a four-year partnership with Weight Watchers, which ended on mutual terms in 2018.
But how did Hudson master her weight loss plan?
I know what you’re thinking…”She’s a movie star, she probably has 20 people following her around at all times telling her what to eat, when to work out, and more…her weight loss was EASY!”

But I do like to be active.”
“I always have to have chocolate around-it’s my cigarette,” she told the website. “I don’t smoke. But it calms me so well. I don’t like too much junk in my dressing room because I have to watch what I eat, so I put everything else out of the room.”

Despite her busy work days on set and in the recording studio, Hudson still finds time to eat a healthy lunch every day. Typically, she goes for a turkey sandwich, grilled chicken salad, or shrimp and broccoli stir-fry, she told Self.
Hudson makes sure to keep it healthy when satisfying her midday cravings. She enjoys celery sticks, some light microwavable popcorn, one square of chocolate, an apple, a spoonful of peanut butter, Greek yogurt, granola, low-fat tortilla chips with a little light ranch dressing, or a chai tea latte. However, she doesn’t deprive herself of delicious treats (a.k.a. dessert), so long as she sticks to reasonable portions.
For dinner, Hudson sticks to sushi, shrimp stir-fry, turkey and sautéed collard greens, or tacos.
Her ultimate indulgence? Chocolate. The star says she has at least one piece of chocolate every day. (Same.)
