For years, the benefits of hemp have been overshadowed due to its relation to marijuana. Despite the harmless amounts of THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), the chemical in marijuana that gets you high, the health benefits of hemp are so vast that it has become an extremely versatile plant. Hemp has been used for thousands of years to produce rope, paper, textiles, and canvas, but recently hemp has been rediscovered as its reputation for health benefits begins to flourish.

Hemp’s newfound popularity is the result of people trying to improve their health. Consuming hemp in its many forms, such as oil, seeds, protein powder, butter, milk, soap, etc., contains several essential nutrients for the body.

Why Consume Hemp?

Hemp is a complete protein. As a good alternative source for protein for vegetarians and vegans, hemp contains all eight essential amino acids to meet your body’s needs. These amino acids improve the body’s maintenance of tissues, muscles, organs and cells, as well as improves mental function and muscle control.

Easy to digest. The combination of fiber and protein found in hemp produces slow digestion. With its globular proteins such as edestin and albumin, the slow digestion prevents spikes in blood sugar and therefore sustains our body’s energy.
