“I was a big fan of Marvin Gaye, and when my parents were at work, I would get in front of the mirror, put my father’s clothes on and pretend I was singing Marvin Gaye songs,” admits Kane. “I kind of had the performance bug back then.”
Proving that he is a full entertainer and that he is a man of many talents, Kane has also made a few appearances on the big screen in several movies such as “Brown Sugar,” “Posse,” “Meteor Man,” “Dead Heist,” “Gunman” to name a few. As if that was not enough, Big Daddy Kane was the first Hip Hop artist to sell out the Apollo Theatre not once but twice with his women-only show.
