P-Valley Star Brandee Evans on being a Caregiver for Her Mom: “It’s Bittersweet”

she’d have to be back on set, oftentimes watching her mother through a live camera between takes to make sure she was okay. “It was very, very hard,” the Memphis native adds. “But I just tell myself, seriously, God doesn’t put more on you [than you can handle]. And if I could do that last season, what can I do this season with more help?”

“I’m getting this bittersweet relationship that I’ve always wanted with her—but she’s not the same mommy that I knew growing up. But I’m just thankful that she’s here, and that I know that she loves me. Deep down, she knows that I’m here for her too. I’ve asked her, ‘Do you know that I love you?’ She said, ‘Yes, because of how you take care of me.’ That’s all I wanted to hear my whole life.”

Evans continues to be an enthusiastic advocate and public speaker on behalf of the caregiving community. According to her website, she launched her “Caregiver Strong” brand of apparel & merchandise for retail sale at shop.BrandeeEvans.com – which has received incredible support from fans and friends all over the world.
