Austin is referring to the line where Cardi raps, “Got a bag and fixed my teeth, hope you hoes know it ain’t cheap.” In a video obtained by TMZ, Austin says that ever since “Bodak Yellow” went No. 1, her client list has grown exponentially. “…I’ve gotten so many calls because people actually wonder who is Cardi B’s dentist,” reported TMZ. “My business has literally tripled, and I have seen so many types of people from college students to the retired police officers.”
Dr. Austin is the owner of a New York City Cosmetic and General Dentistry, VIP Smiles, in New York. She is the author of multiple dental consumer books, a professional speaker on dentistry and business topics, currently serves as a national brand spokesperson for Colgate Total, and in 2015 she was voted in the “Top 25 Women in Dentistry.”
