As for how they plan to reach their audience – mainly “African American females” – Ullman revealed they’ve got both a documentary and possibly a nationwide tour on the horizon.
“Titled ‘Feel Rich: Health is the New Wealth,’ it’s executive produced by Quincy Jones, myself [and others] it stars Common, Russell Simmons, Stic Man from Dead Prez, Paul Wall, Slim Thug, Fat Joe, The Game, Jermaine Dupri – all talking about how health has contributed to their success,” Ullman said of the film which drops on Netflix in May.
“It was filmed over four years and I’m really proud of it because it doesn’t focus on the negativity and the crisis – we touch on it a little bit – but it focuses on the cultural shift that’s happening in the community around health and wellness.”
“You have Angela Yee from the Breakfast Club and Styles P from the Lox opening up juice bars. You have Slim Thug opening Hustle Fit in Houston. Then you have The Game, he’s created 60 Days of Fitness – so really what we’re doing, is showing the community, really the world, that this is happening,” he continued.
Up next, Feel Rich, who just wrapped up an event in conjunction with the NFL during this year’s Super Bowl, has set their sights on “getting people to move and dance” across the country. “We’re currently in talks with a few companies to take events like these [featuring top fitness experts and celebrities, for one big dance party] on tour,” said Ullman.
