Eat Clean to Spring Into a Healthy Lifestyle
Clean eating is all about being mindful of the origin of your food and ensuring that it is as close to its natural state as possible. It is about consuming tons of fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, beans, fish, seafood, and clean meats.
When we fuel our body with whole, unprocessed foods we provide it with the nutrients it needs to function at its best. In turn, we look and feel better. We sleep better, our skin is better, and we have more energy.
Start your clean eating with the foods you like and then introduce new food as you go.
Spend more time outdoors
As the days get longer and the weather is warmer, spend more time outdoors.
Enjoy time in the sun, walking, running, riding your bike or just sitting on the stoop reading a book.
Studies show that spending time in green spaces—such as a garden or a city park—has been linked to improvements in heart health, lower stress levels, and even a longer life span. It is also proven that sun can release hormones that make you feel good.
Take a class
Spring is the perfect time to take a dance class, yoga class or even a meditation class. This will help with decrease stress, but it will also help you with building new relationships. It’s important to try new things you haven’t tried before.
I recently took a water aerobics class and it was so much fun. It was also a great way to meet new people. Another great thing to do is take a creative class. Like painting, singing, sewing or photography. This is another way to relieve stress and meet new and exciting people.
