1. Wear sunscreen

Gabrielle Union simply doesn’t believe in the resistance to use of SPF. It keeps her skin looking and feeling young, not to mention healthy! To even show her commitment to the necessary usage of sunscreen, Union took part in Neutrogena’s Buy 1 Donate 1 campaign by passing out SPF lotions to those in need. She says, “A lot of women of color do not think that we are at risk. We believe that our melanin is built-in protection and we are good to go from birth. That’s not the case. Our moles can change shape and be cancerous as well.”

2. Eat for beauty

Gabby is a firm believer in doing what’s best from the inside out. She has a daily juice regiment that she states has worked wonders for her. She says, “ As my skin has changed over the years, I’ve been  a little more diligent about what I am putting into my body.” She likes to do a beet, carrot and kale pressed juice. Additionally, she makes sure to drink at least 1 gallon of water a day, and has eliminated gluten, soy and dairy from her diet. She says that since making these diet changes she’s seen a dramatic difference in her skin, hair and nails.

3. Routine

Union states that she loves Neutrogena products and even likes to promote their Skin Health campaign because “So many people can’t afford a dermatologist. It’s like a luxury. Neutrogena has made it affordable to be healthy.” She goes on to explain that her cleanser of choice is their Oil Free Grapefruit Scrub, but that she has an entire arsenal of cleansers that she chooses from depending on what her skin needs for the day. She also mentions that she makes sure to always use a toner and moisturizer afterward.
