Some studies show that if psyllium is taken regularly, it can do wonders for your body. It can help everything from your heart to your pancreas. It is mostly used to reduce constipation and diarrhea symptoms.

Here are a few of its benefits:

Bathroom regularity

Psyllium is a known solution for many issues in the bathroom. The fiber has water-absorbing properties, which make for a much smoother bowel movement. Adding this to your diet can promote bathroom regularity.

Cholesterol reduction

Studies show that adding to your diet is one way to treat mild-to-moderate hypercholesterolemia; or high amounts of cholesterol in the blood. High cholesterol can lead to a heart attack or stroke because it restricts blood flow to and from the heart.
