This is why communication on both ends is highly important. If you notice that your partner seems to have checked out of the relationship, then perhaps some communication needs to happen. Once you have decided that it is time to communicate, it’s time to figure out how to get it done.
Take the time to figure out why you are feeling the way you feel. Knowing why you are fatigued will help you get to the next step. Once you have done that you can dissect why you feel that way. Before you have the conversation, feel free to journal how you feel to have a more organized conversation.
Take Time out for Yourself
Whether you are in a relationship or not, making time for yourself can be relaxing and therapeutic. It’s easy to get caught up in your daily life and forget about what you need as an individual. If you find yourself getting fatigued in your relationship then it might be time to do some self-care activities.
Typically when people think of self-care they think of going to a spa, getting a manicure, or a pedicure. Self care is way more than just pampering yourself and self-care doesn’t have to be a dedicated time or place. This type of activity can take place with you just going for a walk in the grass with your shoes off.
You could go on a date by yourself and enjoy your own company. Moments like that are great for reflection, journaling, and analyzing your relationship fatigue.
Learn New Things Together
A huge part of relationship fatigue can come from staying stagnant in life or relationships. You and your loved ones can try new things to create new experiences. This creates good conversation and a deeper bond.
Take the time out to figure out what you and your loved one have always wanted to do and go do them together. This can be skydiving, traveling, or hiking in an exotic place. Learning new things in a relationship can work as a gateway to healthy conversations that you and your partner never discussed.
People learn, grow and change constantly and sometimes the fatigue can from ignoring that.
