CHI: With vegetables, the darker they are, the higher the nutrient quality. Purple onions are full of fiber. Red peppers are good for metabolism, burning fat and providing vitamins. Cabbage is good for your GI tract and provides nourishment for the natural bacteria in your gut. Dried apricots are super good for your gut bacteria. Carrots and celery provide healthy carbohydrates. Egg whites are a great source of protein, 12 grams of protein. Aged cheese. Aged cheeses have a higher protein quality and are better for your body as well. Avoid eating the processed stuff.

What salad dressings do you recommend to keep a salad healthy?

CHI:  Salad dressings in a store have a long shelf life. They’re on the shelf because they’re literally preservatives. They’re processed. So why would you think it’s good for your body when you can make your own right. Use fruits and vegetables to create our own dressings. Things like avocado.
