Since the release of the first two vaccines, experts have seen promising results so far, and the true benefits of the vaccine will be known as more and more people get vaccinated. After reviewing those initial results, experts advise those living with sickle cell disease to get vaccinated when it’s their turn. Negative reactions with medication have not been noted as of yet, however it is advised to stay at the doctor’s office about 30 minutes after vaccination just incas a reaction does occur.
