… elongate and strengthen muscles.
Overall body conditioning is also extremely important and Vick’s workout routine is a combination of high-powered cardio, weightlifting, interval training and a healthy diet.
To keep from taking your body for granted, here are highlights from Vick’s personal workout and diet:
- Even when you aren’t doing cardio, it is advisable to start your lifting days with a few minutes of biking to get your muscles warmed up and your body primed to lift.
- Weight training is the centerpiece of any workout plan. You should try to lift three times per week and add in a session of deadlifting (1 set of 5) once per week.
- A good diet is fundamental to building a strong body. You should be eating between 1 and 1.5 grams of protein per pound of bodyweight.
- A steady serving of fruits will give you the natural sugars and amino acids your body needs.
