While our overall health is important, our hair health definitely has a huge impact on our lives. After all, hair is one of the first things people notice about us. If our hair isn’t at its best, we instantly feel self-conscious. Even worse, conditions like alopecia and eczema that affect our hair can definitely lower our self-esteem.
Fortunately, T. Spruill founder Tracey Spruill found an effective way to treat her scalp eczema. The Black cosmetologist is just 1 of the 31.6 million people in America who suffer from eczema. Like so many people, Spruill visited several doctors to find a solution to her hair problem, but came up short.
It wasn’t long before she took matters into her own hands. A few years back, Spruill developed a hair product that specifically targets hair conditions like scalp eczema and seborrheic dermatitis. Recently, Tracey Spruill debuted her new haircare line Aloe + Coal in hopes of helping thousands of women like herself combat major skin conditions that affect their hair. No longer will women have to suffer the embarrassment of having bad hair.
Tracey Spruill Goes The Extra Mile
Furthermore, cosmetologist Tracey Spruill’s scalp eczema led her to seek out better and more effective treatment options, not just for herself but for all women. Once, a physician advised her to take some over-the-counter brands that had toxic chemicals that destroyed a person’s natural hair pattern.
Additionally, the physician suggested that she’d search for ingredients that were good for the hair but gave no specifics. Ultimately, Spruill’s conversation with her physician left her unsatisfied.
Eventually, Spruill decided from then on that she’d change her outcome. In 2019, she developed the new hairline Aloe + Coal, a conditioner and shampoo combo that would gently cleanse, soothe irritation and restore moisture. Basically, she created a haircare line that could do it all.
Her Hairline Restores Our Hair To Perfection
When Tracey Spruill discovered that doctors could do little to help with her scalp eczema, she’d become her own hero. Not only would she treat her own chronic condition, but Tracey serviced other women with troubled scalps. It didn’t matter whether she had to work behind the chair during a salon visit, on-location at a bridal hair booking, or even backstage at runway shows or editorial photoshoots, Spruill made sure she listened to her client’s concerns.
Additionally, she even helped close friends and family members who were diagnosed with conditions that negatively affected their hair and scalp. These conditions often included dandruff, seborrheic dermatitis, psoriasis, eczema, effects caused by chemotherapy, lupus and alopecia. If nothing else, Tracey Spruill prides herself in educating her clients on their hair conditions and searching for healthy hair practices.
Eventually, her client’s concerns inspired her to develop a solution that she could confidently recommend as an effective alternative in hair care.
Spruill rolled up her sleeves and got to work. She spent two years studying natural, botanical and organic ingredients. Additionally, Spruill worked with a manufacturer of FDA products to develop a brand that removed debris from scalps while soothing irritation and restoring moisture.
Furthermore, the hairline is packed with a wealth of nutrients like activated charcoal, aloe vera, and rosehip oil. Additionally, Aloe + Coal is designed to combat hair conditions like dandruff, soothing dry and itchy scalps, restoring brittle hair, and reducing hair shedding. Who could ask for a better haircare brand?
She Hopes Her Brand Helps Women Everywhere
Tracey Spruill has truly made a hairline brand that’ll change many women’s lives. Having worked on fashion teams responsible for iconic hairstyles on the runways of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week-Swim and New York Full Figured Fashion Week, we’d say she’s impacted women’s lives already.
The licensed cosmetologist hopes that her hairline Aloe+ Coal will change the hair industry for the better. More importantly, Tracey Spruill knows that her haircare line will help women everywhere feel more confident in their hair.
