Fans of hit record label, No Limit Records, started by Master P, are mourning the loss of one of their favorite rappers, Young Bleed. Recently, he passed away at 51 years old following complications from a brain aneurysm. The news comes from his son Ty’Gee Ramon Clifton, revealing that he died on Saturday, November 1st, “gaining his wings.”
Clifton said he was there to clear up a lot of “false narratives” — including his father’s age — and shared his gratitude for the doctors who helped his father.
While he said his dad didn’t have any real health issues. “My dad was 51 years old when this happened to him,” Ramon says. “My dad was never in and out of the hospital… This is something you can’t prepare for.”
But Ramon revealed his dad did have high blood pressure and took medication for it. And he’s probably right, because there is a high blood pressure and brain aneurysm connection.

How He Got his Start in Rap Music
Born Glenn Clifton Jr. in 1971, Young Bleed was a staple of Baton Rouge’s rap scene.
At just nine years old, inspired by his mother’s love for poetry, he began crafting rhymes of his own. By his teenage years, he was recording those rhymes and selling mixtapes to friends around his neighborhood. His growing buzz soon led to a deal with a local record label.
In 1995, he teamed up with four fellow Baton Rouge rappers—C-Loc, Max Minelli, J-Von, and J-Von’s younger brother Chris Hamilton—to form the group Concentration Camp.
His first real taste of fame came with the hit song of the South, “How Ya Do Dat” featuring C-Loc, which gained major attention when Master P remixed it for the 1997 soundtrack of I’m Bout It. The track soared to No. 1 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop album charts the following year.
With Master P’s help, he signed to Priority Records and released his major label debut, My Balls & My Word, in 1998. Over the span of his career, he went on to release nine studio albums, solidifying his place in Southern hip-hop.
His Last Appearance Before His Death
Clifton claims that after his father’s recent CashMoney vs. NoLimit Verzuz performance at ComplexCon in Las Vegas — which brought Louisiana hip-hop legends together — he went to an afterparty and then everything “spiked.” Allegedly it was “more of a natural thing that happened to him” and confirmed he collapsed and suffered a brain aneurysm from internal bleeding.
According to Clifton, his father was on a ventilator and spent a week in the ICU before his death.
He then confirmed the legitimacy of the GoFundMe page his family set up for his late father’s medical expenses and how it’s been expanded to cover burial costs, too.
“Let’s keep his legacy alive,” Clifton said of his late father.
