Wendy Ida at 69: “It’s Never Too Late”

wendy ida3If you take a look at one of Wendy Ida's pictures, you'd probably be like the rest of the population and didn't believe she's as old as she is. As a 69-year-old, Wendy easily still looks like she's in her 30's.

"People just don't believe me. People have asked me for my drivers license," explains Wendy. But the proof is in the pudding and she's now known as “America’s #1 Expert on Looking Fit, Fierce & Fabulous after 40”, and internationally recognized Best Selling Author, Speaker, Life Transformation & Fitness Expert & TV Host. Her best-selling book, Take Back Your Life! My No Nonsense Approach to Health Fitness and Looking Good Naked also won the Indie literary book award.

"I thought after age 40, it's over and you just accept what's coming to you," shared Wendy. "I thought after that age, you can't really change--Boy, was I wrong!"

Wendy is a frequent guest on TV and talk radio and has achieved international recognition via commercials, exercise videos, and magazines.wendy ida2

"It's psychologically enriching. It's about feeling your soul. It's not just physical, it's about taking your like back," Wendy says. "At one point in time, I didn't really know my worth. So I let someone else rule my life for 12 years. And they took my power from me."

She is a domestic violence survivor who was in poor shape, bad health and had low self-esteem. Considering all her life she was four dress sizes larger than she is today, and gained an additional 50 pounds after having two children back to back, she is grateful to have beaten the odds.

(Before and after Wendy)

She didn’t begin her own exercise regime until age 43, but she has managed to improve her health, lose 80 pounds and dwindle down to a rock-solid size 4 and hold onto it as a grandmother!

Wendy also set two Guinness World Records as (1) Oldest Active Instructor in multiple disciplines and (2) for the most “Burpees” (a calisthenics exercise) 37 in one minute (female). Wendy’s other credits include...

...former Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for the LA Avengers football team. Director of the Obesity Prevention Initiative Program (OPI), Sponsored by USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, Kaiser Permanente, American Bio-Clinical Laboratories and the Real Men Cook Foundation; an Award of Recognition for Outstanding Educational Community Service from Dr. Charles Adams, Founder and President and her two time nomination of Who’s Who Among Women in Business.

After 20 years of changing lives and rocking the worlds of many, the proof is in the pudding.

Wendy feels sharing her self-taught approach to mental readiness, self-worth and teaching, preaching and inspiring others to live their potential can not only change the world, but it is her reason for living.

"What happened in the past is the build-up of where I'm supposed to be now. So I can testify. You have to get the mind right. That's the part of my testimony that I had to learn."
