This resource center is designed to help Blacks navigate through the COVID-19 pandemic. As Black Adults, it can be challenging to find trusted and up-to-date information when it comes to our health. The Black Coalition Against COVID (BCAC) and BDO have partnered together to create this space to help the Black Community fight back against the coronavirus.

Provided are resources with daily updated information regarding COVID-19 and the COVID-19 Vaccine. Throughout this resource center are tools to help Blacks locate the vaccine in their communities, keep them informed of rollout phases and eligibility state-by-state, and share information from the top Black COVID experts.

Covid-19 Statistics By Race

Long-standing systemic health and social inequities have put the Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities at increased risk of getting sick and dying from COVID-19. Racial and ethnic disparities in health care are known factors contributing to the higher morbidity and mortality among Blacks.

73,462 Black lives have been lost to COVID-19 to date. Blacks account for 14% of Covid-19 deaths where race is known. Black people are dying at 1.4 times the rate of white people.

These calculations are based on data from The Covid Racial Data Tracker and the U.S. Census Bureau.
