It has been reported that Jamie Foxx's family is ‘preparing for the worst' as his health continues to decline after suffering a medical emergency. However, they still have hope that he will make a full recovery.
Back in early April, Foxx, 55, was hospitalized after experiencing a medical complication on April 11. His daughter, Corinne Foxx, broke the news in a now-deleted Instagram post.
The post stated:
“From the Foxx Family:
We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday, (April 11). Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery.
We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”
Since that announcement, his family has yet to disclose any additional information about his condition. The only update provided was on May 3rd when Foxx posted a blank message on his personal Instagram page that read, "Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed.”

At the moment, no specific details are available regarding his emergency, but fans and celebrities have taken to social media to express their well wishes and prayers for a speedy recovery.
After the latest update, rapper Kid Cudi tweeted “Man, prayin for Jamie Foxx.” Other celebrities, such as Kerry Washington, Viola Davis, and Kevin Hart, have also expressed their support over the past few weeks. In early May, Kevin Hart provided some details on Foxx's road to recovery.
During an episode of Logan Paul and Mike Majlak's Impaulsive podcast, Hart mentioned, "The remarkable thing is that he's getting better in his situation, and everybody's prayers, everybody's love, energy, all that stuff is seen and felt [by him]...In this case, you just want the guy to get out of the situation and get back home.”
Hart later clarified that he was not aware of Foxx's exact diagnosis and stated, "I don't know the details — or the exact details — as to what's going on, but to my knowledge, there's a lot of progression and a world of better.”
During his emergency, Foxx was in Atlanta filming his new Netflix movie, "Back in Action." Production of the film was briefly halted, but a body double was able to step in and help wrap up filming. Cameron Diaz and McKenna Roberts were both spotted on set filming with Foxx's stunt double.
Foxx also had to step away from his hosting duties on his FOX TV show, "Beat Shazam." Nick Cannon has stepped up as a guest host. His daughter Corrine, who is the DJ on the show, has also stepped back to be with her family. Kelly Osbourne has stepped up as a guest DJ for the time being.
According to a statement from FOX, “Everyone at Fox Entertainment wishes Jamie well as he continues his recovery and we greatly appreciate Nick's willingness to jump in and help this summer.”
We all hope for a speedy recovery for the talented actor and singer!
