She revealed to PEOPLE that she makes sure to spend as much time as she can with her daughter.

“I'm a super hands-on mom. I am with her every day since she was born. We haven't spent a day apart."

Becoming a mother was a journey full of ups and downs for her.

In her personal essay for Vogue, Williams stated, “I love being a woman, and I loved every second of being pregnant with Olympia. I was one of those annoying women who adored being pregnant and was working until the day I had to report to the hospital…” yet, she was very vocal about the life-threatening complications she faced during labor.

During her delivery, the doctors performed an emergency C-section at the hospital. Following her delivery, doctors revealed she had deadly blood clots in her lungs and needed surgery.

After the emergency surgery, she was required to be on bed rest for six weeks. She had to manage the physical demands of her body healing while taking care of her new baby.
