With COVID restrictions easing just in time for Super Bowl LVI, SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles is expected to be at or near full capacity for the game on February 13. Tickets for the Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals matchup are in high demand for a number of reasons.
The first is because last year’s Superbowl was played at a reduced capacity due to COVID-19 restrictions.
The second is due to the fact that the game will be played in Los Angeles making the Rams the home team. However, if you’re an NFL fan, you probably know that means the typically high-priced tickets will cost even more.
According to NFL Ticket Exchange, the cheapest tickets will run fans more than $6,600 while the most expensive seats are going for close to $75,000 for one ticket. A pair of tickets will cost upwards of $100,000. If you’re like the average fan, then those prices may not be in your budget. But don’t worry we’ve got you covered on everything you’ll need for an at-home Super Bowl party just as exciting as being there in person.

2. Plenty of Seating
Depending on how many people you plan on having over, you may need to rearrange your furniture to ensure you have enough space for everyone to fit comfortably and sit. You may also want to space seating out to keep within the safety guidelines of COVID-19.
3. Ask Everyone You Invite to Bring a Negative COVID Test/Vaccine Card
This is completely optional, but if you are looking to take extra precautions to prevent the spread of COVID, you can ask that all guests that will be in attendance at your Super Bowl party either show a negative test or present their vaccine card at the door. If you are extra cautious, you can host a virtual Super Bowl party via Zoom and watch along with family and friends.
4. Multiple Coverage
Instead of having multiple guests crowding around one TV, you may try setting up another TV for maximum coverage if you are having a larger crowd.
5. Decorations
Nothing screams Super Bowl like walking into a house with all the appropriate Super Bowl decorations to match. Placing balloons, streamers, and colored napkins is a good place to start. Try looking for decorations that feature the colors of the Rams and Bengals (ie. blue and gold or black, white and orange). You can also stay on theme and include your food and drink as part of the decorations.
6. Have a Prize at the End of the Night
A little friendly betting can make things more fun and competitive. When everyone gets to your place, you can have them write down what they think the score will be or who they think will win. When the game is over, check out all the scores and award the person with the closest score a prize of your choosing. You can even make the prize football-themed.
7. Tailgate Before the Game
If you have been to a college or pro football game, you know how important tailgating is. You may be thinking that because you’re having an at-home Super Bowl, that you may have to miss out on tailgating, but that isn’t true.
You can still pre-game and have a tailgate at home. Try inviting friends and family over from 3:00 pm till 6:00 pm for an outside tailgate where you grill up some chicken wings, hamburger sliders, etc., if the weather permits of course.
You can also incorporate games such as cornhole into the festivities. If you are hosting a virtual party through Zoom, you can opt for online games. At six, everyone can head inside to watch the game. If you have the space and equipment and the weather permits you can even watch the game outside.
8. Dress to impress
What’s a Super Bowl party without the appropriate attire? Even if your favorite team didn’t make it to the Superbowl, you can wear something football or food-themed to the party.
