1. Exfoliator
A great exfoliation to the skin before bedtime will give the renewal process an additional boost. It’s always best to use these types of products at night, as it exposes your pores and makes them quite vulnerable. It’s also great to try and use an over the counter glycolic peel every once and a while as well. A good, but pricey option is la prairie cellular 3-minute peel. You can also make your own.
2. Retinol
Retinol is key to the skin renewal process, as the Vitamin A it contains, creates bonds that repairs damage done to the skin, as well as build the collagen levels back up. It’s great to try to mix this with a moisturizer, as it adds a layer of protection. Try Kate Somerville RetAsphere 2-in-1 Retinol Night Cream.
3. Peptides
Peptides are integral to the renewal process, as they create bonds that link collagen back together and signal the skin to repair itself. Using a peptide product will make the skin soft and supple. Try NuFACE SMOOTHER Powerhouse Peptide Serum.
4. Acne Treatments
If you suffer from acne prone skin, the best time to use any acne fighting treatments are at night. They are very strong, and make the skin vulnerable and dry. It is best to use these products in the PM to give the skin time to treat itself, as well as strengthen back up.
