Getting a great serum facial doesn’t mean you have to spend money at a fancy spa. Put your best face forward right at home in these seven simple steps from our beauty expert at Kiss The Chaos!
1. Serum Facial Cleanse
Start by removing your makeup and prepping the skin to receive all of the pampering coming its way. Try Triple Oxygen Foaming Cleanser by Bliss. I love the creamy, foamy consistency and the nice citrus smell. It’s also gentle on your eyes.
2. Steam
This is probably the most important step. If you don’t have a budget to purchase one of the fancy salon steamers, try boiling a pot of water on the stove and simply putting your face over it. You can also make some nice steamy towels in a cheap crockpot.
After you finish cleansing, take the towels and place them over your face. Make sure to press the towels into your skin. Adding some essential oil can help calm and soothe you.
3. Serum Facial Exfoliate
Try a Clarisonic Mia Brush or sugar scrub. Whatever you do, don’t use both in the same session because you could cause some damage. The sonic brush makes this process easy, but the scrub leaves your face smelling good and feeling smooth.
4. Hydrate
Your face needs to rehydrate. Apply a face masque for at least 10-15 min. A good one is Boscia Blue Calming Masque. It is the perfect consistency to peel off when it’s done. It will definitely give your face that much-needed boost. Try another steamed towel afterward.
5. Serum Facial Tone
My favorite toner is Pixi Glow Tonic. It’s great because it’s designed to balance the pH in the skin. It helps relieve your face of that tight feeling that can occur after you have cleansed your skin. Apply with a cotton swab and let it sit on the skin for a few moments.

6. Replenish
I recently have become addicted to Tarte Pure Maracuja Oil. This is the perfect beauty blend to make your face supple and soft. Pay close attention to your eyes and cheeks. They need special attention.
7. Repair
Last but definitely not least, finish off with a good moisturizer/serum. I recently have gotten into Image Vital-C anti-aging serum. Make sure to work your way all the way down your neck. Don’t forget your lips and eyes. Lip balm and eye cream may be necessary!
