Supporting Pride and having a negative attitude about it have both been topics of heated debate from the beginning of time. During the 19th and 20th centuries, several countries and areas worldwide passed laws that made it illegal to have relationships with people of the same sexual orientation.
Being gay or participating in activities encompassing both sexes was seen as immoral at the time. And was a crime that may result in legal repercussions.
The Government
At this time, you could be arrested due to the government keeping lists of known homosexuals to find others and arrest them. Because of this, people a part of this community started safe havens where they could hang out and be themselves.
On June 28, 1969, one of these safe havens, The Stonewall Inn, was raided, and everyone was ID’ed and checked to see if they were clothed as their born gender before getting arrested.
Because of these, the individuals in this safe haven fought back in the best way they could for 3 days, and this was the beginning of LGBTQA+ members finding their power and sticking up for themselves.
After that, a year later, the first pride march was held. Because of this, every June, we celebrate Pride Month.
Members Of Pride Month

Historically, the community has experienced difficulty receiving acceptance and equality, resulting in a decline in the stigma associated with mental illness.Regardless of one’s sexual orientation or gender identity, mental health is crucial to overall well-being. However, because of the particular difficulties and experiences that its members have, the LGBTQA+ community frequently has serious concerns about mental health.
Fostering a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere requires understanding and attending to the mental health needs of LGBTQA+ people.

Have fun with life and make your own choices; it’s your life. Everyone in the world, regardless of gender, race, or sexual orientation, deserves to be loved.
This is a truth that transcends borders and cultures. You are the author of your own tale. Therefore, always keep in mind how much you are worth. And do your best not to let anybody bring you down psychologically or emotionally.
This is a friendly reminder not to let those who are struggling with themselves pull you down or make you feel bad about yourself. You have no choice but to maintain your composure and be authentic.
Prioritize your happiness and affection for yourself, and search for who you are. A person’s mental health should always take precedence over whatever connection or relationship they may have.
