No need to wait for the government’s stimulus check. Platinum-selling Rapper Cardi B has had enough when it comes to hearing about foundations raising money and not giving it the people in need. So now, during the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic, she has partnered with fashion company FashionNova to give away $1 Millon dollars.
“Thank you guys for supporting me and @FashionNova, I teamed up with them to help those that have been impacted by the Coronavirus pandemic,” explains Cardi in an Instagram post. “Many of you are struggling to pay bills, feed your families, and take care of your overall essential needs. #FashionNovaCARES & I are giving away $1,000 EVERY HOUR until we’ve given away $1 MILLION DOLLARS to those directly affected by this crisis. “Also PLEASE make sure that your Instagram is public, because I will also personally be looking thru these submitted pages. Starting NOW!”
To qualify, those in need can visit fashionnova.com/cares to share their stories and information. Fashion Nova Cares will choose 24 people each day for the duration of the program. This isn’t the first time Cardi has given back. The rapper supplied 20,000 bottles of Owyn, a plant-based vegan meal supplement drink, to hospitals around the city, a little over a month ago
The idea behind that generous donation was to provide sustenance for medical staffers and ambulance crews who are too busy to have a proper meal during their hectic shifts, TMZ reported.
She may not know everything about the virus, but she knows that it’s serious.
“I don’t know what this f—k this coronavirus is about. I don’t know understand how this s—t was from Wuhan, China, now all of a sudden this s—t is on motherf—king tour,” she said in an expletive-filled rant in March. “I ain’t gonna front — a bitch is scared. S—t got me panicking, and a lot of you motherf—kers think it’s a joke.”
There’s currently no vaccine to prevent coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
You can protect yourself and help prevent spreading the virus to others if you:

Cover your nose and mouth with a disposable tissue or flexed elbow when you cough or sneeze
Avoid close contact (1 meter or 3 feet) with people who are unwell
Stay home and self-isolate from others in the household if you feel unwell
Make sure you don’t:
Touch your eyes, nose, or mouth if your hands are not clean
