Donna Summer is best remembered for her iconic 70s hits, such as “Hot Stuff,” “Last Dance” and “She Works Hard for the Money.” Her family has released a statement, saying that they “are at peace celebrating her extraordinary life and her continued legacy.”

Summer won 5 Grammys throughout her musical career, and married Bruce Sudano, a singer for Brooklyn Dreams, in 1980 and the two had two daughters together. They also have four grandchildren.

Donna has been called the “Queen of Disco” and set the path for many other musical acts to rise to success. She was the first artist to have three double albums in a row hit the US Billboard chart number 1 spot. Summer also had four number-one singles in the States within a thirteen-month period.
