COVID-19 has completely shaken, disrupted, dismantled, and changed how we interact with each other in ALL areas of our lives. We no longer have the luxury to go or do as we please without having some type of restriction or rules imposed on our livelihoods.

Nothing is the same anymore, and it’s taking some time to get used to all the drastic changes, but don’t worry and have hope because we will get through this crazy pandemic.
Did you ever think or imagine you would be “washing your groceries” after purchasing them? Definitely, not! But when you think about it, we probably should have been sanitizing our goods before the pandemic to cut down on germs and viruses. Just imagine, how many human hands have touched this fruit, vegetable, or clothing, or box before it ended up in my home.
So when we shop at retailers, dine in at restaurants, or travel aboard I don’t complain as much when government officials and business owners implement safety precautions to keep us safe during the pandemic. I understand these rules are in place to keep everyone safe and to curb the infection rate.

With that said, who wants to be stuck at home dreaming about sandy white beaches when you can just travel there instead!
Do you reminisce or have nostalgic moments when you could just book a flight, pack your bags and fly as far as your money would take you? Well, so do I. But just remember better days are on the way even though the Coronavirus has swung into our lives like a wrecking ball aiming for its prime target.
As we continue to get vaccinated or use precautions to find a new normal during this pandemic; make sure before you travel domestically or internationally that you are well informed about certain travel restrictions prior to you booking a flight.

Before you pack your luggage and attempt to jet-set around the world take a good look at our list of seven places you SHOULD NOT visit during the pandemic. I must admit the reasons NOT to travel right now are truly compelling to me but I’ll let you decide if traveling to these places is worth risking you and your loved one’s health.
SEVEN COUNTRIES ON THE NO NO LIST
- CHINA
- FRANCE
- GERMANY
- SPAIN
- VATICAN CITY
- BRAZIL
- SOUTH AFRICA
Back in January, President Biden issued an Executive Order entitled “Promoting COVID-19 Safety in Domestic and International Travel,” and it established air travel restrictions on many countries after health officials and the CDC received scientific data showing that COVID was spreading like a rapid wildfire through “ongoing person-to-person transmission.”
The coronavirus got so bad that it started to mutate into additional strains potentially causing people to get reinfected with the disease.
Even the World Health Organization reported that South Africa had over 1.4 million confirmed cases in their area. The six remainder countries had extremely high-risk levels in which Homeland Security stepped in and said the U.S. must “act swiftly and aggressively to combat the disease,” because COVID-19 is posing a grave threat to the health and security of the United States.
So if you had plans to visit family, see the Eiffel Tower, shop in Beijing, visit the Pope, or explore the great outdoors of the Motherland, maybe you should take a raincheck on your travel adventures to those countries for now. However, if you MUST travel aboard, here’s a list of seven places that the CDC recommends and says poses a low risk of contracting COVID if you follow certain health precautions.
SEVEN DESTINATIONS ON THE “STAY SAFE WITH PRECAUTIONS” LIST
- Cayman Islands
- Greenland
- the British Virgin Islands
- American Samoa Islands
- Nigeria
- Saint Kitts and Nevis
- Australia
Traveling to these seven destinations may offer some nostalgia and a sense of peace to your soul for now but just remember the whole world is in a pandemic and it’s going to take some time for things to open up fully. So if you are planning a getaway trip for yourself, a family member or a friend make sure you know the COVID Risk Assessment levels (embed link) https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/map-and-travel-notices.html of your destination before you making your itinerary.
Also, the CDC recommends that you do the following to minimize your exposure to the coronavirus: wear a mask, get vaccinated, avoid crowds, stay at least 6 feet from people who are not traveling with you, wash your hands often or use hand sanitizer, and watch your health for signs of illness. Remember to stay safe and Bon voyage!
