Cecil and Marilyn Roberts welcomed their grandson into their home when he was in first grade. When Stefun was in the second grade, he made a promise that he would pay off his grandparents’ mortgage.
Family members started tearing up during the emotional moment, including Stefun’s mother, Stefanie Wyatt, 40. “I started crying. It was so sweet,” she said.
The reason behind why Stefun did it was simple.
“I couldn’t stand you going to work at night, some nights I didn’t even sleep knowing it shouldn’t be like this,” Stefun wrote on his Facebook timeline.

For the past six years, Stefun was working nonstop and was being tight with his money to make sure he saved up enough to fulfill his promise.
He worked odd jobs here and there, shoot, it seemed like he was always working said a family friend. Everything from working as a cook in Pizza Hut to answering phones for a customer service company. He tried not to spend a lot of money on food, and never smoked or drank to save as much money as possible.

GG | GP I promised God in the second grade I would pay off you guys house and help you retire. A promise I would never break. The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen, nor touched… but are felt by the heart.
Even with this, I could never repay you for what you’ve done for me. I sacrificed my teenage and early adulthood of not having fun for this moment. I couldn’t stand you going to work at night, some nights I didn’t even sleep knowing it shouldn’t be like this. Never have I wrote a check wanting this to be the first one. To all my friends that stood by me over these last 6 years I appreciate you.
Somethings was never said and I’m glad you guys had enough sense to understand I had something greater to complete. GP| GG Take this check and pay your house off, and retire from work. Y’all owe no man but God. Even copped y’all some tickets to The Bahamas ????????☀ I’ll sacrifice everything for my la familia. P.S – Avaricious. The secret is within.
Love,
Stefun
Besides working full time, he is also a full-time student at San Jacinto College and the founder of the non-…..profit organization Caring Heart Youth Foundation. “I sleep around four or five hours a night,” he said, adding that he is “always giving back to help.”
Not only did Stefun pay off his grandparents’ mortgage, he also paid for a trip for the two of them to the Bahamas – a complete surprise to other family members.
Stefanie added that Stefun goes out of his way to help others. “It is second nature to him,” she said.
“It was a dream to see them happy,” Stefun said. “It’s something that can’t be explained, it can only be felt.”
You go Stefun! And talk to my grandkids when they are born too! LOL!
