Where can you find a man that wants more for you than even what he wants for himself? Insert the “shed fat” coach Rauve Haley. On social media, he gives and gives information to help anyone and everyone shed fat and he does it with a smile.
According to his website, fitness has been his life for over a decade. Growing up in Virginia Beach, Virginia, he originally got into lifting and nutrition due to being unsatisfied with his body. He took it upon himself to create the change he wanted to see. Not long after embarking on his own fitness journey, he realized that his motivations weren’t all aesthetic. He started to become addicted to the way fitness was positively impacting his life physically, mentally, and emotionally.
After seeing how he could positively change his own life and body, Rauve became dedicated to helping others do the same. Rauve graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with BS in Exercise Science and is an ACSM and HFS certified trainer. He prides himself on his extensive knowledge of biomechanics, anatomy, and nutrition. He considers himself a student of the fitness lifestyle, and is constantly learning better ways to help his clients. Soon after graduating from college, he started his own personal training company and has helped countless clients achieve their fitness goals.
On Bodybuilding:
“One thing I’ve learned about body building. It’s not about who’s working the hardest, even though hard work is required. It’s more about working the SMARTEST. Spending hours on hours in the gym is NOT required, doing hours of cardio is NOT required. It’s about SMART Nutrition! When your Nutrition is on point & match’s your goals, those other tools just help you fine tune the physique you want. If you find yourself adding more cardio to your regimen or more gym time, the smarter direction would be to look at what the F**k your eating!”
On Cardio:
“Let’s Talk Cardio! Should you do is Before or After Weights, what about intra workout?”
“If you have the time to do two-a-days or can carve out extra hours in your week to make room for separate strength workouts and cardio sessions, then you have no problems! Perform fasted cardio in the morning, and strength training later.”
“If you only have an hour and you absolutely have to do cardio and weights in that same hour, then…
… your best bet is to either superset ( cardio in between sets) or do your lifts first and your cardio training after.”
“How much time is dictated by your body style, and goals.”
“Whenever I successfully complete a lean bulk, my next phase is a slow cut. If you you try to drop fat too fast you may sacrifice lean muscle tissue. My workouts will remain intense, my cardio increases to 4x per week (typically fasted ), but my Nutrition changes dramatically. Carb cycling is a method that has worked for me in the past.”
“This is a very simple method which is alternating high and low carbs to confuse your metabolism into burning STORED body fat, while maintaining lean muscle.”
