Being a thick girl is great, I love it!
What’s not great though, is when your thighs start to rub so badly you get boils, whiteheads or very sensitive and tender skin from chafing, especially during the summer!
This list is for all my thick and chubby girls to help you live your best and comfortable life in those shorts and dresses this summer, and any other time!
1. Monistat Chafing Gel
This product from Monistat, which usually provides products for yeast infections and vaginal health, has a chafing gel.
You put it on the area of your thighs that rub and go on about your day!
2. Biker shorts
You can get these from anywhere, but I love going to Marshall’s and Target for mine.
Now I know you can’t wear these with every outfit, but don’t forget for a nice sundress they’re a great option!
3. Powder
There are some powders that even offer a cooling sensation and if your thighs are having a rough time, there are medicated powders as well.
4. Deodorant
Lots of women actually use (solid) deodorant on their thighs to allow the thighs to slide past each other easier while walking.
Make sure you read to make sure it’s safe and I strongly recommend anything that doesn’t have a scent.
5. Vaseline
This is a classic!
The purpose of vaseline is to protect the skin, so rubbing some good old-fashioned vaseline on your thighs will make sure there’s smooth sailing and no chafing.
6. Anti-chafing bands
These are thigh bands that go around your thigh in the area where there is a lot of rubbing.
They come in a variety of colors that should allow them to be worn with lots of different outfits and not be seen.
There are lots of solutions to chub rubs, but remember to give them a break!
If your skin starts to break or you get painful bumps, talk to your doctor and make sure you wear plenty of cottons and breathable fabrics to give your thighs a break.
Have a hot, thick girl summer ladies!
