We all come into this world naked and as soon as we are smacked on the bum and able to bring air into our lungs, we are whisked away and clothed, leading the rest of our lives in garments that display our personalities and hide away our natural states. The only time we are ever naked is during cleansing and of course during intimate moments with significant others. We rarely stop to think about just how much of a benefit being naked can be for self-confidence.
You may not have thought about how being comfortable in your own skin can boost self-confidence, but no worries because we are here to give you a few reasons why.
Gives you a clear view of self
It’s easy for to have a skewed perception of yourself when clothes are always covering the body and you rarely looks at yourself in the mirror. Spending time in the nude while alone and standing in front of a mirror will give you a clear perception of what your body looks like, it’s natural shape and the condition of your skin. Spend time examining every angle of your body to embrace and appreciate the skin you’re in. Examining the bare body in a mirror will help to build self-confidence and self-love.

Forces you to embrace your natural state
We have become so accustomed to putting on layers of clothes and accessories that we rarely embrace ourselves in our natural state. Participating in certain activities while in the nude such as reading, watching television or cleaning will help with bringing comfort to being in the natural state that we came from. When you love your body, your confidence is boosted, and that’s a beautiful thing.
Helps you see yourself through only your eyes
We are bombarded with so many images daily that project what the ideal of beauty is according to societal standard, but by sitting in the nude and taking in your body as it naturally is, you can become comfortable in your own skin and comfortable with what your own unique version of beauty is with no judgment from the outside world.
