Have you ever tried rice water for hair? Are you wondering about the experience? Would you be willing to try something new?
Okay so in the colder winter weather when I wasn’t able to rely on my wash and go, I was looking to try something different.
I wanted to freshen up my hair and give it some much-needed moisture and nutrients.
Debbie’s Rice Water For Hair
I came across Ask Debbie About Hair and her video really made me want to try it.
Debbie gave historical information about how this has been used for centuries. She also shared how different countries that are known for hair envy use it.
She then ended the video showing her results on a black woman’s hair. It was amazing. From there, I was hooked. I went on a journey to find my rice water for my hair. I grabbed a spray bottle and got to work.
My Experience
My hair naturally loves water. So the first time I tried rice water for hair, I couldn’t tell if it was working. I was trying to determine if it was the water and my normal products.
The second time, I noticed a difference. I specifically noticed a difference in the amount of shedding and the decrease brittleness of my ends. This is when I knew that this was something I needed more of.
Warning: There is a smell attached to fermented rice water. But you do wash it out after so it is bearable. So don’t worry about the smell. I just wanted to give you a heads up. If you can deal with apple cider vinegar then you can deal with this. If you are very sensitive to smells, I would not advise doing this.
I recorded a Youtube video of my experience so you can get a better idea of what to expect. Enjoy!
