Michael Sneed is Vice President, Global Corporate Affairs for Johnson & Johnson and a member of the Corporation’s Management Committee. In his role he leads the Corporation’s global marketing, communication, equity and philanthropy functions.
Sneed explains that as a company, Johnson & Johnson, “Supports many efforts to promote health and wellness and to reduce preventable disease. There are so many things in terms of health and disease that can be prevented just by lifestyle changes. We’ve had an opportunity to drive really meaningful change in the area of obesity to improve the wellness of children and really expanding that to their families.”
Previous to assuming his current role in January 2012, Sneed was a Company Group Chairman for Johnson & Johnson and a member of the Medical Devices & Diagnostics Group Operating Committee. He was primarily responsible for Johnson & Johnson’s global vision care franchise. He assumed this position in January 2007.
Sneed began his career with Johnson & Johnson in 1983 as a marketing assistant in the personal-products business after graduating with a MBA from Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business in 1983. He graduated cum laude from Macalester College with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Currently, Sneed serves on the Executive Committee of the Ad Council and is a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of Family Service Association.
