The dessert first started in Nashville, Tenn. earlier this year, along with a selection of other limited-time summer goodies, as part of Burger King’s latest push to win back customers with a revived menu and reverse sliding market shares. This effort started soon after the company was taken private by the private equity firm 3G Capital in late 2010.
