Sensual massage (also known as erotic massage) is a great way for couples to relax before getting into the main event and is an awesome form of foreplay to usher intimacy into the room. The body can become tense throughout the day from movement, stress and bad posture, so releasing those built up toxins and getting the body prepared for an amazing sexual experience is worth the time. If you are new to the techniques of sensual massage, don’t worry! You can become a massaging pro in no time by following these few simple tips.
Set The Scene
Transform the bedroom from a place of slumber into a romantic oasis of tranquil energy! Play some soothing music. Light a few scented candles to create mood lighting. Spark up a few incense to open up the olfactory senses. Make sure the temperature of the room is warm and comfortable. Place your massage oils near the bed and place a towel on top of the bed sheets. You can even dress the bed with a new pair of sheets in a color that you both favor. Once the atmosphere has been set, it’s time to focus on the technique.
1. Use a Combination of Hand Techniques
Use the hands, fingers, knuckles and forearms to massage the different parts of the body. Long soft strokes, short and more firm strokes, kneading, twisting, and even scratching the skin are all ways to massage and caress the skin. Switch up the techniques every 15-30 seconds to send the body into a sensory frenzy. Here are three golden rules for hand techniques:
A. Don't Push So Hard
Depending on your goal, there are times when you need a tiny bit of pain for gain (like when you're putting pressure on a knot). But in general you want to give firm enough pressure that you can feel the muscle move underneath the skin without making your partner grimace or squirm.
B. Work Slowly
Rubbing hard and fast will just irritate your partner's muscles. Instead, use slow, even strokes with the palms of your hands, thumbs, or finger pads (the fleshy part of your fingertips).
C. Talk With Your Hands
When I am giving a massage, I imagine as if my fingers were talking and how they would yearn to give please to the skin they are touching. So slow, methodical, intense strokes with the palm of your hand and knuckles up and down the pack should be coupled with light, feathery strokes before moving to another part of the body. Just remember thumbs, palms and fingers for the majority of the massage. Knuckles, not so much.
2. Pay Attention to Erogenous Zones
Erogenous zones are areas of the body known to strike up sexual arousal. Pay special attention to the...
... neck, chest area, the backs and insides of the thighs, the mouth and the pelvis. Caressing and massaging these areas will release tension all while taking you and your partner's arousal to higher levels.
3. Use Your Breath to Caress the Skin
The breath is very gentle but can be used to bring goose bumps to the skin, creating a sensation that can move sexual energy throughout the body. Using the breath on your partner’s skin can create a sense of being desired and adored. Experiment with different spurts of breaths and directions of breath to stimulate the senses.
