Angela Bassett’s 25-Minute Total Body Workout

    (BlackDoctor.org) — Believe it or not Angela doesn’t go crazy with her workouts. Her workouts are actually short –25 minutes– but consistent for 5 days a week, with strength and jump rope segments interwoven into one fat-blasting and body toning circuit routine.

    Why is this a great workout? For women especially, it allows you to increase your heart rate considerably and keep you in a fat burning zone while at the same time increasing your lean muscle ratio.

    How Angela Does It…

    Begin with a 5 minute jumping rope warm-up

    Circuit Workout

    Do these exercises one after another, then repeat the entire circuit two more times. Aim for 15 repetitions per exercise:

    • Dumbbell chest press (use a weight that’s comfortably challenging)
    • Jump rope for 30 seconds
    • Seated cable row
    • Jump rope for 30 seconds
    • Seated dumbbell press (view exercise)
    • Jump rope for 30 seconds
    • Dumbbell bicep curls
    • Jump rope for 30 seconds
    • Triceps extension
    • Jump rope for 30 seconds
    • Dumbbell lunges
    • Jump rope for 30 seconds
    • Ab crunches on stability ball
    • Jump rope for 30 seconds
    • Plank (with your feet balanced on stability ball)
    • Jump rope for 30 seconds
    • Push ups
