Turmeric

allergy relief

The active component found in turmeric, curcumin, can block the release of histamine to prevent allergy symptoms from developing. The Indian spice has long been known and used for its anti-inflammatory properties.

Try adding some turmeric powder or the root to your smoothies, soups, steamed veggies, or hot teas.

Seeds & Nuts

nutrients

Magnesium-rich foods have a calming effect on the muscles of the bronchial tubes and the whole body.

Foods such as almonds, cashews, wheat bran, and kelp, are excellent foods for allergy relief as magnesium is a natural bronchodilator and an antihistamine.

Walnuts and flaxseeds are also helpful to allergies and are rich in inflammation-fighting omega-3s.

Vitamin C Fruits

Foods rich in vitamin C do wonders for your allergies.

Oranges, strawberries, apples, and watermelon hold antioxidant and histamine-fighting components that counteract the inflammatory allergic response that comes along with allergies.

Cold-Water Fish

dementia

Cold-water fish like salmon, tuna, sardines, and mackerel are rich in omega-3 fatty acids that have anti-inflammatory components that help with allergy relief.

Yogurt

allergy relief

Probiotic and fermented foods like yogurt, kefir, sauerkraut, kimchi, natto, raw cheese, miso, and kombucha will help support your immune health by repairing damaged intestinal lining, desensitizing your body’s food triggers and boosting your immune system.
