NBHAAD Twitter Chat 2017On Tuesday, February 7, BlackDoctor.org (Twitter: @blackdoctor) and the FDA Office of Minority Health (Twitter: @FDAOMH) will partner for an informative Twitter chat, “Let’s Fight HIV/AIDS Together!” in observance of National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, 1 – 2 p.m. EST.

Using the theme, “I am my brother’s and sister’s keeper,” the chat will be a Q&A led by the FDA Office of Minority Health to raise awareness and reduce stigma about HIV in the Black community.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, African Americans accounted for 44 percent (19,540) of estimated new HIV diagnoses in the U.S. in 2014, yet we only comprise 12 percent of the national population.
