Silence is deadly. It might not kill you physically, but mentally it will destroy you inside. Yoga.
Yoga is a soul healing experience as Chicago-based yoga teacher and healing practitioner Stacy Patrice would say. Experts recommend trying kundalini yoga for a transformational experience that will leave you feeling whole and restored. Kundalini Yoga is known as the “Yoga of Awareness.” Unlike other forms of yoga, Kundalini yoga operates on the motto of “healing” as opposed to “curing.” Practitioners believe that, “curing is removing the illness, problem, or issue. Healing means to make whole. A person who is healed may also have an illness or disease.” This approach is especially helpful for survivors of sexual assault because it allows its participants to feel liberated throughout their lives despite times of despair or conventional illness.
Don’t suffer in silence sisters. Go talk to somebody, let it out and begin to unpack all of the things that keep you from feeling free. We hope that this article was a glimpse of hope for a brighter future.
