DIY Hydrating Honey Hair Masks

Honey is moisture-grabbing because it's a super-saturated solution, meaning the bees mix a lot of sugars into a little bit of water. Its anti-inflammatory properties will calm redness and irritation. It is also gentle and antibacterial, which leaves skin soft, glowing and healthy. Here are some honey-based masks to help with any irritation or skin issues on your face.

Hydrating Oil Mask

Ingredients 

  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp honey

Directions

  1. Heat up the olive oil for 20 seconds in the microwave.
  2. Mix it with the honey.
  3. Apply to the hair.
  4. Put a shower cap on for about 20 minutes.
  5. Rinse your hair well and style as usual.

De-Frizz Mask

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of yogurt
  • 1/2 cup of honey
  • 1 tbsp of almond oil

Directions

  1. Mix the ingredients together.
  2. Apply all over your hair.
  3. Leave it in for 20 minutes.
  4. Rinse off with shampoo.
  5. Repeat once a month to completely reduce frizz.

Restoration Mask

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1 banana
  • 2 tbsp of honey
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 3 tbsp of
  • virgin olive oil
  • 3 tbsp ofbuttermilk

Directions

  1. Mash the banana, egg and avocado together.
  2. When you get a smooth mixture, stir in the buttermilk, honey and olive oil.
  3. Apply it all over your hair and let it sit for 20 minutes.
  4. Rinse and style.

Shiny Hair Mask

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp of olive oil
  • 1/2 cup of coconut milk
  • 1 avocado
  • 2 tbsp of honey

Directions

  1. Mash up the avocado until it’s smooth.
  2. Add the coconut milk, olive oil and honey.
  3. Heat up the mixture in the microwave for 20 seconds.
  4. Slather all over your hair.
  5. Cover with a plastic cap for 30 minutes and rinse out.
