Beautiful actress and model LisaRaye McCoy, best known from her roles in films like Players Club" and the CW sitcom, All of us or the VH1 series "Single Ladies" is no longer singing the single lady blues. On Monday night, viewers were surprised to learn the single woman, who was given two proposals at the end of the night, was actress LisaRaye McCoy.
If you remember, McCoy's love life has had its fair share of ups and downs. McCoy’s is the former First Lady of Turks and Caicos, given her ex-marriage to Michael Misick, the Prime Minister at the Time. Misick served as Chief Minister of the island from 2003 to 2006, when he was accused of internal corruption.
Then LisaRaye was also rumored to be with Bishop Noel Jones in California. That was an interesting rumor because after that, the beautiful 51-year-old McCoy came out and said that she vowed to be celibate. It was a different approach than she’s tried in the past.
“I’m in a new place. I’ve tried everything but celibacy, and I really want to know what it feels like to be touched by someone with a mental touch and not a physical touch,” she told Cocoafab.com. “I want to know what it is to build the foundation of the friendship for real, to have my best friend and not because we’re just [physically] intimate, but because we’re mentally intimate. So I’m waiting for that person to come into my life.”
“I want someone to know me, to learn me,” she explained. “I want to start dating the man that I’m gonna marry. I want to start having some fun with someone that I know I’m gonna be with. I don’t play any games. I’m too old for that. I’ve been there, I’ve been around the block.”
And yet even after that, LisaRaye got baptized (Go 'head girl!)!
Fast forward to 2018 and now on the show called The Proposal, the premise is simple: 10 contenders come to meet a single man or woman and vie for their hand in marriage. The hour-long episode consists of summaries, interview questions, and...
... even a swimwear segment, all of which are designed to introduce the future couple on a level of physicality and emotionality.
McCoy explained to her 10 suitors that she’s been married before, but hasn’t given up on love. If anything, she said on the show, the past relationship had strengthened her want for a lasting romance. Throughout the evening, McCoy cut potential partners and accepted a proposal from Anthony, a businessman from Chicago whose last name was not revealed.
It's been over a week and it does seem like she's reall in it to win it with Anthony, so we wish her and her fiance' all the best.
